DAY PAROLE - COMMUNITY PROJECTS

Description

These residents have obtained a conditional release status from the Parole Board of Canada. Their stay with an average duration of six months is usually oriented towards volunteering. There is also the possibility for these individuals to continue their studies or paid work depending on the decision of the Parole Board of Canada.

DAY PAROLE - COMMUNITY PROJECTS

Admission Criteria

  • Day parole community projects, studies or work permitted by the PBC.
  • An application for admission must be sent by the Correctional Case Management Team to Ville-Marie office.
  • Psychiatric cases and heavy physical disabilities are excluded.
  • In the case of day parole study project, it is important that a process of registration from a learning center is carried out and that the subject is in possession of his last educational report cards and his birth certificate.
  • Day parole project work remains on the situation of the released. If necessary, they must have been guaranteed and approved by the Case Management Team.
  • The resident must actively participate in the programs offered by the CRF.

DAY PAROLE - COMMUNITY PROJECTS

Accomodation

  • Stay is determined according to the decision of the PBC and entered into the liberation certificate of the subject.
  • Respect the rules and regulations of the CRF.
  • Respect the specific conditions listed in the release certificate.
  • Participate in the CRF's intervention groups twice a week.
  • Meet with your counselor on a weekly basis.
  • Complete work requested by community resources or by the educational institution.

The Stay & Services

  • Resocialization hours are granted in accordance with case management team and may be taken only on weekends.
  • There are structured group activities scheduled on evenings as well as on weekends. (Gym, cinema and structured outings which must approved beforehand).
  • Community chores must be performed while staying at the CRF.
  • Public travelling costs are paid by Correctional Services Canada.
  • One to two resident (s) per room according to availability of the rooms.
  • Each room has cable service which allows the use of a television.
  • Other services: gym, laundry, playroom in the basement.
